StarDict 3.01 is a Cross-Platform and international dictionary written in Gtk2.
It has powerful features such as "Glob-style pattern matching," "Scan selected word," "Fuzzy query," etc.
The program can be activated as a stand alone program, or you can use it as a contextual utility to look for words pointed by your mouse.
Once a word is pointed with the arrow or your mouse, a contextual menu appears, and you can perform the following actions:
Query in the main window: this will open the program´s main screen, showing you details about the selected word.
Save to file: this will save the content shown in the window to a text file.
Pronounce the word: will use Windows´ SAM to speak out the selected word.
Stop selection scanning: will avoid the contextual menu to appear.
Help: will show you the help contents.
Quit: will quit the program.
When you query a word, the program will show you the different options for that word, and would explain each one in plain English, Japanese and Chinese. You can also type words or phrases, and the program will search them for you.
